2025 kids & families

All BOTMC events are open to all ages, and some are especially designed for kids and families. ALL of our family activities are FREE admission!

Family Concert and String Band Contest

10:15 - 11:00 am on the 4th Floor: FAMILY CONCERT
featuring WB Reid & Bonnie Zahnow

WB Reid & Bonnie Zahnow have been making music with and for children since their own kids were babies. Back home in Seattle, they work with school kids twice a week, and play regularly for family dances. WB is an alumnus of two of the Northwest’s finest dance bands, the Tallboys and the Rhythm Rollers. As a duo, WB and Bonnie have played for contra and square dances from coast to coast and border to border.

12 pm til around 3pm on the 2nd Floor in the Mystery Room

BOTMC STRING BAND CONTEST 
The contest starts at 12pm with a short performance by the Manning Music Fiddlers.

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm on the 5th Floor

Open jam session hosted by Darcy Ford-James, Patrice Strahan, and Hannah Mayree

11am til around 12:30pm  FAMILY DANCE at Ashkenaz featuring the Manning Mud Stompers, with caller Susan Michaels.

Free parking across the street in the REI lot - and street parking is free on Sundays

 

The BOTMC family dance is a great way for families to have fun dancing together in a casual setting to great live music by the Manning Mud Stompers. Susan Michaels has decades of experience calling family dances!  She will teach all the moves, with some dances that even babes in arms can do.
